As Senior Business Manager, you will partner with the CEO, Executive Team, and peers in all business functions to drive the strategic roadmap and growth of the core product platform, ensuring alignment with the companies overall strategy and customer requirements.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience in developing and executing go to market strategies and clearly articulate a deep understanding of how product and customer experience drive growth. This person is a leader with exceptional influencing skills who can engage and coordinate cross-functional resources and drive commercial outcomes aligned to strategy.
Responsibilities;
Partner with the Platform Product VP, Executive team and CEO to define, execute and iterate the companies Independents segment strategy. This requires you to work across strategic and operational initiatives, and to create alignment through strong communication skills, relationships, and collaborative partnerships
Work with Product and other functional team leads to cascade the strategy across all business units, and work with them to set and execute their individual components
Take responsibility for the product P&L, and lead quarterly business reviews of end to end product performance
Own the customer lifecycle for the Platform from marketing through to customer success, to ensure optimum conversion rates and minimum customer attrition
Develop a data-first approach when it comes to customer engagement and performance, that influences and guides decision making within the team
Work closely with Product, Design, Engineering and Marketing to ensure the right features are built at the right time, and cross-functional programs to bring new offerings to market are executed successfully
Work closely with Sales and customer teams (Onboarding, Support and Customer Success) to ensure the right customers are targeted, that they are onboarded efficiently and receive high quality support
Develop and evolve a set of reports that allow for operational management, and performance reporting to the Executive Team on the health and performance of the platform
Be an evangelist of the business internally and externally
People who will be successful in this role:
Extensive (7+ years) experience in a business management, software product management or management consulting background
Demonstrated experience collaborating with a diverse stakeholder group to realise commercial outcomes
Proven ability to influence outcomes at all levels in a variety of contexts while maintaining a passion for helping people fulfill their potential and utilising an open and effective communication style
Experience with market evaluation and operational and performance analysis across multiple geographies
Extensive experience working with software development projects at scale alongside a track record of addressing customer needs through innovative use of technology and the ability to define strategic business roadmaps and long term planning
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment; exceptionally comfortable with ambiguity and decision making in the absence of perfect information
Deep understanding of design thinking and performance analytics
